Register for the 2013-2014 School Year
Registration is now in progress for the 2013-2014. Packets are available in the front office. Pick up an extra one for a friend or neighbor. Share with them and all you meet how great our school is!
Veteran’s Day Chapel
On Wednesday, November 7, 2012, Christian Center School held its annual chapel honoring United States veterans. We would like to thank the following sercviceman for joining us and making our chapel memorable: Captain Gordon Evans, Captain Jorge Martinez, Staff Sergeant Loren Clayton, Sergeant Joshua Cozzone, and Henry Dauber. Additionally, Captain Gordon, a volunteer with “Veteran’s Inspiring Patriotism”, visited classrooms and discussed his experiences as a pilot in the Vietnam War.
Grandparent’s Day Chapel
On October 17, 2012, grandparents, real and surrogate, joined CCS’s student body in a special chapel in their honor. Afterwards, many joined us in class and participated in lessons ranging from spelling bees to an oral language construction exercise. At recess time, those bave enough to participate, played kickball and basketball with our elementary students at recess. All in all, it was a lot of fun showing our grandparents how much we love them.
See You at the Pole: September 26, 2012
“See You at the Pole” is an annual global event held the third Wednesday of every September. Students gather at their school’s flagpole to pray for God’s incredible power to be released on academic campuses worldwide.
This years theme was AWAKEN based on Paul’s prayer for the Ephesians:
“ For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filledto the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen” (Ephesians 3:14-21 NIV)

HELP GET FREE MERCHANDISE!
The Labels for Education® Program Awards FREE Educational Merchandise.
For over 39 years, the Labels for Education program has been awarding FREE educational equipment to schools in exchange for proofs of purchase from participating products. It’s a fun, easy program where students, families and members of the community work together for a common goal.
Today, Labels for Education is proud to say that over 70,000 schools and organizations are registered with this program, benefiting more than 42 million students. Over the years, Labels for Education has been able to provide more than $114 million in merchandise to America’s schools!
You can help Christian Center earn free merchandise such as computers, audio/visual equipment, physical education equipment, reference books, musical instruments or even a minivan, simply by collecting Labels for Education participating product UPCs and beverage/sauce caps and giving them to Christian Center.
“This year our goal is to collect 250 points, and we’re asking all our families and their friends to help,” said Mrs. Cozzone the Coordinator for Christian Center’s Labels for Education program. Back to School/Night Open House
Mark your calendars…summer is almost over!!!!
Back to School Night/Open House is Monday, August 27, 2012. New family orientation begins at 5:30 pm. Classrooms will be open from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Come meet your teacher/s, browse curriculum, receive schedules and guidelines, and see your friends.
DON’T FORGET: THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IS AUGUST 29, 2012.
Teacher Appreciation Week
May 7-11, 2012, is Teacher Appreciation Week. This is a time set aside to recognize and honor those teachers who have so greatly impacted their students’ lifes. Send them a note of gratitude or a small token to express your thanks for a job well done.
SPIRIT WEEK: 3/19-23
Christian Center School students and staff really have SPIRIT!!! On Monday, the attire worn represented holidays from the New Years to St. Patrick’s Day to the Fourth of July and even Christmas.
Twins were everywhere on “TWOS”day. The highlight of Wednesday’s pajama day was a pillow case race.
The campus was filled with nerds Thursday. The week ended with everyone wearing the their favorite team jerseys.
